    Anonymous + Oprah = over 9000

    First Post.

In spite of the fact that the group known as "Anonymous" (aka "Internet Hate Machine") made the news in a big way recently by hacking Gov. Palin's email account and posting the contents publicly, and the many, many YouTube videos calling attention to what they did to another famous woman, not one single media outlet has noticed that about a week ago, Oprah Winfrey was victimized by them, to the point of becoming the latest, hottest, new Internet meme (meme=catchphrase). Even Fox News, who has played up "Anonymous" as being "hackers on steroids", missed the epic story.

It began (as such things often do) with a posting on her forum in a discussion related to an upcoming show on legislation targeting people who produce and traffic in child pornography by a user named "harpobear" (a play on Oprah's Harpo productions company, and another Internet meme common among the Anonymous community to refer to people who traffic in child pornography="pedobear")

Oprah read aloud one of the responses to that posting, from someone who is obviously a member of "Anonymous" due to their mention of one of the rules of the Internet that refers specificially to "Anonymous" and mentioning a common, but very annoying Internet meme "over 9000" which is very common among "Anonymous". That one came from the popular anime show Dragonball Z.

Nappa: "VEGETA! What does the scouter say about his power level?"

Vegeta: "IT'S OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND!" crushes scouter

    Nappa: WHAT NINE THOUSAND!?

    Oprah said:

"For motivation, if you still don't understand what our children are up against, let me read you something that was posted on our message board from somebody who claims to be a member of a known pedophile network: He said he does not forgive. He does not forget. His group has over 9000 penises and they are all raping children."

Not realizing that she'd just been had ("owned" or "pwned" in Netspeak) by an anonymous Internet troll to the delight of every other member of Anonymous, she went on to inform her viewers that "they're organized and have systematic ways of hurting children, and they use the Internet to do it".

Her forum promptly was attacked by every Anonymous member on the planet (at least the ones who weren't exchanging child porn), spamming, trolling, and just generally making it entirely unusable.

As a result, that video clip is all over YouTube and other video hosting services. In addition, it's been set to techno music, remixed, and combined with the clip from Dragonball Z that makes it very clear just what happened to Oprah. There are many different versions of it. The photoshoppers have been busy as well, there are over 9000 different graphics circulating on the Internet making fun of the talkshow host's gaffe.

There is even a website dedicated to the new meme, featuring some of the videos.

And for some reason, the media completely missed the story. I didn't believe it when I saw the first mentions of it on a forum, but when i did my homework, I found out that she did indeed say "He never forgives" and "over 9000".

    You heard it here first.

Anonymous not only hacked into Palin's email, they also owned talk show host Oprah Winfrey by getting her to say two memes on camera.

In Netspeak, that can be summed up in two words: Epic win.
